A ridge of high pressure spreads across most of New Zealand today and tomorrow. A front moves onto the far south tonight, then moves north over the South Island tomorrow while weakening. A large area of high pressure covers central and southern New Zealand from Tuesday through to Thursday, while a showery southeasterly flow affects eastern parts of the North Island during the same period.
